April 2015 - February 2018

Associate / Human Resources for Health Specialist

  • Activity Lead (technical and management support) for several human resources for health activities in Guinea, Cote d’Ivoire, and DRC

  • Provided technical assistance to Ministries of Health in Guinea (Ebola), Cote d’Ivoire (PEPFAR and Ebola), DRC to address their priorities in the health system in program management and implementation

  • Supported the implementation of technical assistance activities which included developing analysis plans and accompanying data collection instruments, field data collection, analysis of data, report writing, and preparation of presentations and updates

July 2014 – March 2015

Program Lead, Cote d’Ivoire

  • Advised on governance and leadership capacity building strategies for local ministry key stakeholders to independently manage programs aimed at strengthening the skills of health care workers in low-resource settings and the sustainability of the broader health care system

  • Managed the implementation of a national Lab Information System at national and regional labs throughout the country to reduce turnaround HIV testing results time (as part of IPC) and trained staff in implementation of the system at national level

  • Provided technical, management, monitoring and evaluation support to the program: develop work plan and budgets, tracked and reported on program progress, outputs, and outcomes

January 2013 – June 2014

Technical Officer: Program Management (Haiti and Cote d’Ivoire)

  • Managed the Communities of Excellence (CoE) project in Haiti working with three public hospital providing technical assistance by advising on different health systems strengthening strategies: the implementation of cervical cancer screening services, building of a maternity ward, and improving quality of care 

  • Wrote annual non-competitive grant application ensuring that both countries’ public health priorities were addressed through our interventions

March 2011 – January 2013

OVC Project Coordinator/Officer

  • Supported the management of Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) activities and the development of Guidelines for Standard of Care for OVC in Kenya, Nigeria, Malawi, Zambia, Mozambique, Ethiopia, and Haiti

  • Conducted training for Haitian Government officials and community leaders in Quality Improvement and Gender Integration for OVC programs

  • Assisted in developing and ensuring the quality of project deliverables to include reports, summaries and success stories

  • Assisted with USAID OVC proposal development and provide support to other projects as needed for Nigeria, Zambia, and Kenya
